Job Description
Advanced clinical provider role performing patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and outcome evaluation functions.
Responsibilities
Takes histories and performs physical exams; initiates/documents/communicates plan of care; performs rounds; writes orders for medications/labs/diagnostics; interprets test results; coordinates with physicians/residents/nursing/care teams; completes discharge summaries, prescriptions and instructions.
Qualifications
NP: Master’s in Nurse Practitioner Program and national board certification required; NYS NP and RN licenses required with required collaborative practice/attestation. PA: Bachelor’s and accredited PA program required; NYS PA license required. Current BLS required.
